Returning MSU Seniors:
Abby Stanley #60 – Goalie
Abby comes to MSU from Grand Blanc, Michigan where she attended Grand Blanc High School. She has been a Spartan for 4 years and is playing in her 3rd season. Abby played in 11 games in 2023, had a record of 6-2 and a 45.5 save percentage and was named the team’s Most Improved Player. Abby is also serving the club as a Co-Chair of the club’s Fundraising Committee.
Audrey Monahan #27 – Attack/Midfield
Audrey is from Grand Rapids, Michigan and attended Grand Rapids Christian High School. She has been a Spartan for 4 years and is playing in her 3rd season. She moved from midfield to Attack in 2023, and she scored 13 goals and contributed 10 assists. Audrey currently serves as the Club Secretary.
Katie Bill #23 – Defense/Midfield
Katie’s hometown is East Grand Rapids, Michigan where she attended East Grand Rapids High School. She has been a Spartan for 4 years and is playing in her 3rd season. Katie currently serves as the Club Vice President and is in her second year as a Team Captain. She was the Team Defensive MVP in 2022. Katie missed the entire 2023 season due to injury suffered during the Fall 2022 exhibition season.
Katie Topoleski #20 – Defense
Katie comes from Rochester, Michigan and attended Notre Dame Preparatory High School. She has been a Spartan for 4 years and is playing in her 3rd season. Katie is serving her second term on the Club’s E-Board. She is the current Club President and was Club Secretary in 2023. Katie had 13 caused turnovers and 8 ground balls in 2023, while also winning the Julie K Award.
Sally Reilly #16 – Attack
Sally’s hometown is Grand Rapids, Michigan, where she attended Forest Hills Northern. She has been a Spartan for 4 years and is playing in her 3rd season. Sally serves as a Team Captain for the 2024 season and is Co-Chair of the club’s Fundraising Committee. Sally had 27 goals and 17 assists in 2023.
Zina Khader #14 – Defense
Zina is from Troy, Michigan and attended Troy Athens High School. She has been a Spartan for 3 years, playing in her 3rd season. In 2022, she was named the team’s Most Improved Player. Zina contributed 10 caused turnovers to the team during the 2023 season. She also serves as the club’s Treasurer for 2024.
Our Returning Juniors:
Abby Wichers # 28 – Attack/Midfield
Abby is from White Lake, Michigan, where she attended Notre Dame Preparatory High School. She has been on the team since her freshman year and this will be her 3rd year on the club. Abby won the Spartan Spirit Award in 2022. Abby played through injuries in 2023 yet appeared in all 19 games at midfield. Abby also serves the Club as Co-Chairperson of the Community Service Committee.
Bella Dudek # 45 – Midfield
Bella comes from South Lyon, Michigan, and attended South Lyon High School. This is Bella’s 3rd year on the team and she has played in all 38 games since joining the team as a freshman. In 2023, she scored 9 goals and controlled 16 draws. Bella also serves the club as Event Coordinator.
Sophia Ryan # 4 – Midfield/Defense
“Ryan” comes to East Lansing from San Diego, California where she attended La Jolla High School. Ryan played both midfield and on defense in 2023 for the Spartans. She had 3 goals and 8 draws controlled as a Sophomore. She also serves the club as a Co-Chair of the Social Media Committee.
Second Year Sophomores:
Audrey Bremer #1 – Defense/Midfield
Audrey is from Ann Arbor, Michigan, and attended Ann Arbor Pioneer High School. Audrey played exclusively on defense in 2023 where she had 14 caused turnovers, and 8 ground balls. Audrey won the Spartan Spirit Award in 2023 and is moving to midfield for 2024.
Cassidy Yoder #21 – Midfield
“Yoder” is from Brentwood, Tennessee, attending Brentwood High School. She quickly became an offensive contributor in 2023, scoring 34 goals, winning 89 draws and causing 12 turnovers. Cassidy is also serving as a Co-Chair of the Social Media Committee and was named a team captain for 2024.
Elena Bowman #24 – Midfield/Attack
Elena’s hometown is Ann Arbor, Michigan where she attended Ann Arbor High School. In 2023 Elena was contributor at midfield with 22 draws won, 26 draws controlled, 16 ground balls and 13 caused turnovers. Elena is moving to attack for 2024.
Emma Carrier #13 – Attack
Emma is from Troy, Michigan where she attended Troy Athens High School. As a Freshman, Emma contributed during her time on the field where she scored 5 goals for the Spartans in 2023. Emma broke out to lead the Spartans with 3 goals on 3 shots in a home win over Wisconsin.
Karsyn Broderick #12 – Defense
Karsyn comes from Rockford, Michigan where she attended Rockford High School. Karsyn was an immediate starter as a Freshman defender. She ended the 2023 season as the Spartan Defensive MVP while causing 21 turnovers and getting 11 ground balls.
Katie Bucci #17 – Defense
Katie went to Notre Dame Preparatory High School, in her hometown of Rochester Hills, Michigan. “Bucci” had 13 ground balls and contributed 6 caused turnovers as a Freshman defenseman in 2023. Katie also serves the Club as Co-Chairperson of the Community Service Committee.
Maria Caton #33 – Midfield
Maria comes from Rochester Hills, Michigan and Notre Dame Preparatory High School. Maria was a regular contributor on the field as a Freshman, with 9 ground balls and 8 caused turnovers.
Tayler Sypien #32 – Midfield
Tayler’s hometown is Ada, Michigan where she attended Forest Hills Eastern High School. Taylor was a significant contributor as a Freshman, winning 36 draws, getting 16 ground balls and causing 19 turnovers.
This Year’s New Faces:
#2 Amanda Granader
Amanda is a sophomore playing attack/midfield from Brighton, Michigan. She played lacrosse at Brighton High School where she was an All-American, 2x First Team-All State and won a state championship her senior year. She holds the program record for goals and points in a single season, as well as goals and points in a single game. She is in the Eli Broad College of Business at MSU and is majoring in Supply Chain Management.
#3 Hailey Palmer
Hailey is a freshman playing defense. Being a military brat, she started playing lacrosse in Virginia her junior year of high school. She’s played many sports, but found a love for lacrosse especially. Off the field, Hailey is majoring in Animal Science and is part of the MSU Air Force ROTC. Her goal is to commission as an officer after graduation!
#5 Avery Gilbert
Avery is a freshman playing defense, from Glen Ridge, New Jersey. Avery comes to MSU from Glen Ridge High School where she was a 3 year varsity player and won a Sectional Final in 2021. She has played lacrosse for 7 years. Her major at MSU is Business Marketing.
#6 Abby Soriano
Abby is a freshman playing attack, from Troy, Michigan. Abby comes to MSU from Troy High School and has been playing lacrosse for 6 years. She is an Elementary Education major and has a current GPA of 4.0.
#7 Tinney Collins
Tinney is a freshman playing midfield, from Rockford, Michigan. Tinney comes to MSU from Rockford High School where she was a 3 year starter and won a State Championship in 2021. She has played lacrosse for 11 years total. Her major at MSU is exploratory and she has a current GPA of 4.0.
#8 Eva Kowalenko
Eva is a sophomore playing defense, from Brighton, Michigan. Eva comes to MSU from Brighton High School where she played on the varsity team for 3 years. In 2020 and 2021 she was state championship runner up, and won a state championship in 2022. She has been playing lacrosse for 10 years. Her major is Psychology with a minor in Business Leadership, and currently has a GPA of 3.84.
#9 Dylan Zimberoff
Dylan is a freshman playing attack, from Deerfield , Illinois. Dylan comes to MSU from Deerfield high school where she was a 4 year varsity starter and a 2 year captain. She has played lacrosse for 8 years total. Her major at MSU is Social work.
#10 Genna Grbic
Genna is a freshman playing attack, from Shelby Twp, Mi. Genna comes to MSU from Utica Academy for International Studies where she was named valedictorian. She has played lacrosse for 4 years total. She attends Lyman Briggs College, studying premed to be a chiropractor. She has a current GPA of 4.0.
#11 Dominique Pouncy
Dominique is a freshman playing goalie, from Houston , Texas. Dominique comes to MSU from Lamar High School where she was a 3 year starter. She has played lacrosse for 3 years total. Her major at MSU is zoology and she has a current GPA of 3.5
#15 Arianna Ruiz
Arianna is a freshman playing attack, from Houston, Texas. Arianna comes to MSU from DeBakey High School but played for Bellaire High School where she was a 4 year starter and became president and captain in her senior year. She has played lacrosse for 6 years total. Her major at MSU is Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
#22 Jennifer McWethy
Jennifer is a freshman playing midfield, from Shelby Township, Michigan. Jennifer comes to MSU from Eisenhower High School where she was a 3 year starter and surpassed 165 career goals, with 98 goals in her senior season. She was MVP, First team All-State, and earned an All American nomination in the 2023 season. She has played lacrosse for 3 years total due to covid. Her major at MSU is Mechanical Engineering and she has a current GPA of 4.0.
#26 Lexi Horattas
Lexi is a freshman playing defense, from Shelby Township, Michigan. Lexi comes to MSU from Eisenhower High School where she was named best defensive player of the 2023 season. She has played lacrosse for 3 years. Her major at MSU is Animal Science with a concentration in Animal Biology and Pre-Veterinary.
#46 Vivian Reinink:
Vivian is a freshman playing midfield, from Ada, Michigan. Vivian comes to MSU from Forest Hills Eastern High School where she was a 2 year starter and made it 2nd place in State Championships two years in a row. She has played lacrosse 8 years total. Her major is currently undecided.
