MSU Women’s Lacrosse Tryouts for the 2025-2026 Season

TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 2nd @ 6:00pm, IM West classroom 208, is a required organizational meeting for NEW PLAYERS TRYING OUT FOR THE CLUB where club officers and the teams’ coaches will present our program expectations, the tryout process and information on the 2 teams we will field for the 2025-2026 season. Following the presentation we will field any questions you have prior to the beginning of tryouts. Do not bring your equipment. This is only a pre-tryout meeting, no on field activity will take place on this night. 
 
BEFORE THIS MEETING, we expect everyone to go to this website:
and signup, creating a personal account in IM leagues. This takes less than 10 minutes and is mandated by the MSU Sports Club office before you can take the field for tryouts. Any questions on this process can be directed to us at the organizational meeting, but this must be done prior to the beginning of your participation in tryouts on Wednesday 9/3.

Great Start for the Spartans in Santa Barbara!

This past week the Spartans traveled to California to play in the Santa Barbara Shootout! The Spartans claimed victory over Cal Poly San Luis Obispo (9-8), the University of Washington (14-6), and the University of California Berkeley (14-8), falling only to the University of Colorado (8-11). 

 

We are looking forward to the start of our MWLL league play and can’t wait to take the team on the road to Ohio University’s tournament February 18th! There we will compete against: Ohio University, Ohio State University, and the University of Kentucky. 



Spartans to Begin the 2023 Season in California

Michigan State will open their 2023 Women’s lacrosse season with their annual trip to the Santa Barbara Shootout.  They will play four games over the first weekend in February against: Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, the University of Washington, The University of Colorado, and the University of California Berkeley.

MSU Lacrosse Return 2021/2022

“Return to Normal” Fall 2021

In the hope that we will return to a more “normal” schedule at MSU, and with many questions still unanswered as to how we will be allowed to proceed, please be advised of our current Fall 2021 schedule/plan.

Please know this is tentative at this time and is based on past history when pandemic conditions were not present. We have not received approval at this time for a return to play but will update everyone as we know more.

RETURNING PLAYERS: Team practices begin on Tuesday September 7th.
Practices for the 2021/2022 season will again be Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights, time TBD.

TRYOUTS: Tryouts for new players will begin on Tuesday September 21st and follow the same Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday night schedule. Tryouts will last a maximum of two weeks, ending on Thursday September 30th.

SCRIMMAGE GAMES: The plan is to play each weekend on October, working around home football games if they take place as planned.

2019-2020 Lacrosse Organizational Meeting

The MSU Women’s Lacrosse Club will be holding an organizational meeting for all returning and new players wishing to tryout for the 2019-2020 team. The meeting will be held on Tuesday September 3rd at IM West, Room 203 on the second floor. 

Returning players should arrive by 6:00pm, new players will join this meeting at 6:30pm.

Tryouts will begin immediately after this meeting, at 7:00pm on Ralph Young Field, so come to the meeting with your equipment.

We are excited for the upcoming season and look forward to seeing you there.
